Lee is Miami this week to play in the second of the three WGC events, the CA Championship, which takes place on the Blue Monster course at Doral Golf Resort and Spa. He finished T 69th last year but his best finishes to date are T4th in 1999 and 2nd in 2000. He had an 12.07 ET (GMT-5) start from the 1st tee on Thursday with Camillo Villegas and Martin Kaymer. Friday, the tee-time is set for 1.10 from the first hole.
Lee opened the round with a bogey and birdied the next, however he added four consecutive bogeys to his card from the 15th, going out in a 4-over 40!
At the first hole, he was back to 2-over, when he eagled the 1st and went on to add another birdie at the next. At the 8th he dropped another shot to end the 1st round, 2-over par and in T45th place. Despite difficult wind conditions, he recorded 68 for his second round, with only one bogey, but again only managed a 74 for his third, dropping 16 places to T38th.
He was out with Sean O'Hair for the final round, at 11.25 on Sunday and added a 69 to his card, opening with a birdie at the 1st and including an eagle at the 8th. His final score of 285, 3-under par, earned him T30th place.
Ernie Els took the title on 18-under par.
Lee's next event is at the Shell Houston Open (1st April).
